Simple Self-Guided Assembly
The Koozi Side Table Dog Crate arrives flat-packed in two separate box cartons and can be assembled in 20 minutes.
Allen key, screws and instruction manual are included; you just need a Phillips head screwdriver.
We always recommend two people to assist with assembly. -
Many mass-market furniture pieces rely on low-density particleboard, MDF, or soft pinewood, which can feel lightweight, are prone to warping or damage, and are often short-lived.
While solid oak is heavier and traditionally perceived as high-end, it is also significantly more expensive and less practical for everyday life with dogs, as it can scratch easily, warp with humidity, and requires ongoing care.Koozi uses furniture-grade plywood timber, selected for its strength, stability, and long-term performance. Constructed from layered real-timber veneers, plywood resists warping, splitting, and movement over time - making it particularly well-suited to architectural joinery and everyday furniture. This is the same construction method used in high-quality cabinetry, chosen to deliver durability, consistency, and longevity in real homes.
For pet furniture, this matters. Plywood’s structural stability better withstands daily use, weight shifts, movement, and impact -from dogs jumping in and out, leaning, or resting against panels, helping the piece maintain its integrity and finish over time.

We advocate for responsible crate training practices. Never leave your dog in the crate with the door closed if they appear distressed, and avoid long, extended periods inside. Remember, dog crates are not designed to be cages; they should provide a safe retreat for your furry friend. Yes, the Koozi Side Table Dog Crate is ideal for introducing your puppy to a dedicated, safe resting space.
The interior is designed to withstand light scratching and everyday use, with accident-resistant finishes to support the early training stage.As with all puppies, toilet accidents can happen during this phase. While our Flat Bed features a waterproof liner and generous padding to help protect the crate, we recommend placing a dedicated towel beneath the bed during toilet training. This added layer helps minimise hygiene concerns, staining and odour, while protecting the wooden base.
If your puppy is showing signs of chewing, a natural, dog-safe anti-chew spray can also be used on the interior surfaces to gently deter the behaviour during this stage.

Flat-pack furniture and mass-market crates are typically designed as temporary solutions - either to be hidden away (such as wire crates) or replaced within a short period of time. They prioritise price, portability, and quick assembly, often at the expense of long-term use, comfort, functionality, and how they sit within the home.
The Koozi Side Table Dog Crate is designed for a different purpose. Created as a permanent piece of furniture, it supports everyday life with dogs. From materials, proportions and ventilation to door function and structural finish, every detail is considered for regular use, functioning both as a calm retreat for your dog and a refined side table within your living space.
Rather than something to outgrow or pack away, it’s designed to be lived with - adapting to your home and your dog’s needs over time.

Koozi Pets provides a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturing defects only. This warranty applies solely to defects from faulty workmanship.
The warranty period for Side Table Dog Crates purchased from Koozi is one (1) year from the date of purchase. If a replacement Side Table Dog Crate or part is provided, it will inherit the remaining warranty of the original item or one year from the replacement date.
During the warranty period, Koozi Pets will replace any products or parts of the Side Table Dog Crate that are proven to be defective due to improper material or workmanship, only. Repairs and/or replacements are provided at no charge to you, for eligible warranty claims.
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by improper assembly or not following the instructions when unpacking.
- Normal wear and tear, including any dog-related use, washing-related wear, weathering, sun-damage or corrosion.
- Damages due to use by pets (e.g., chewing, bites, rips, burns, excessive scratching, stains, or moisture/liquid damage).
- Damage from improper weight placement on the Side Table Crate.
- Scars, marks and colour that are characteristics of natural materials.
- Damage caused by spills such as acid, solvents, dyes or other corrosive materials, ink, paint, or bodily fluids.
- Commercial use damage, such as use in hotels or stores.

The tabletop surface can hold up to 20kg, making it perfect for flowers, bowls, books, lamps, clocks, photo frames, or other decorative accents.
We do not recommend heavy tvs or computers, or anything unsafe.
Lovely quality and addition to our living room
I purchased this small crate as our Westie had surgery for her ACL. She loves being close to us but was not allowed to move around. She even stays in there without the door down.
We recently purchased a dog crate from Koozi and overall we’re really happy with it.
When assembling it, I couldn’t find the included hardware anywhere. The instructions said it was in Box 1, but I searched high and low with no luck. I emailed Koozi support and Matt called me back lightning fast, which I really appreciated. Great customer service. Before I had the chance to call him back, I eventually found the hardware, turns out for WA orders it was packed in Box 2 instead. Not a big deal in the end, just something to be aware of.
Assembly was straightforward and easy once everything was laid out. The crate itself is very well made, sturdy, and looks super aesthetic in our home.
Our older pug loves it, and wants to claim it as her own, but ultimately it’s for our new cavoodle puppy. It fits its purpose perfectly and feels like it will last.
Overall, really happy with the purchase and impressed with the customer support.
We bought a Koozi for our very anxious dachshund and she loves it! We ordered it on a Saturday and it arrived on the Monday. It was easy to assemble and well made. It looks great and our dashie now has a safe and comfortable spot to retreat to. We are super happy with this crate.

Most items shown online do not live up to the final product. The Koozi Bed with
travertine top and elm panels blew our expectations out of the water!
Quality finishing, clean lines, beautiful design. On top of it all, the set up was
a piece of cake, thanks to the clear instructions.

I was so excited when I saw Koozi pets come across my social media feed. As a dog Mum of 3 miniature dachshunds, crate training was essential. I’ve tried the metal crates, covers to try and make them look “pretty” but the dachshunds just adore a den like environment.
From the moment I unpacked it and set up what my partner calls “The Taj Mahal” of pet beds they couldn’t wait to cozy up inside.
It’s been set up next to the bed and I can highly recommend the medium size if you have multiple small dogs. It also makes for the best side table.

Our American Staffy cross Benny absolutely loves his Koozi crate and will often take himself off to bed for some quiet time (and will come and gently let me know if the door is not open)! We also have the sofa toppers for our leather couches and the cloud beds. Our crew of rescue cats and dogs absolutely love their beds, especially our teeny three-legged Staffie Evie as she can easily hop on and off the cloud bed due to the 3/4 bolster design.
